Report options
Select your period
There is only one option to set: Select your period. There is no separate year to choose, because the year is part of every period in the list.
If your brand charges royalties monthly
If your brand charges royalties weekly
Weeks run Monday to Sunday and are numbered using the international (ISO) standard. Week 1 of a year is the week that contains the first Thursday of January, so week 1 can start in late December.
Whether your brand is monthly or weekly is a brand setting. Ask your administrator if it needs to change.
The report at a glance
The date line is the period you chose. Weekly brands see, for example, For week 41: Mon 05 Oct 2026 to Sun 11 Oct 2026. Each store's period runs from its own close of trade time on the first day to its close of trade time after the last day.
From top to bottom the report contains:
- Sales channel commission summary: only shown in certain cases (see the next section).
- Brand summary by royalty: one line per royalty across all stores.
- Royalties per store: every store, its sales calculation and its royalties.
- Brand total: the totals for the whole brand.
Sales channel commissions summary
Delivery platforms such as Uber Eats and Mr D charge your stores a commission on every order. If your brand has chosen to deduct sales channel commissions from royalty sales, royalties are not charged on the commission the store paid to the platform.
| Sales channel name | Sales channel commission percentage |
|---|---|
| Mr D | 27.5% of net sales (incl) |
| Uber Eats | 30% of net sales (incl) |
This table lists the sales channels whose commission was deducted. It only appears when all three of these are true:
- the sales channel has a commission percentage set up,
- at least one store sold through that channel during the period, and
- your brand is set to deduct sales channel commissions from royalty sales.
If any of these is not true, the table is simply not shown.
Brand summary by royalty
Your brand may charge more than one royalty, for example a Management royalty invoiced by the operations company and a Marketing royalty invoiced by the marketing company. This summary totals each royalty across all stores so each company knows exactly what to invoice.

- Stores charged
- How many stores paid this royalty in the period.
- rate changed or prorated …
- A reminder that at some stores this royalty's percentage changed during the period, or only applied for part of it. The store lines below show the details.
- All royalties (… not charged)
- Stores that are not linked to any royalty are counted as "not charged".
Royalties per store
Each store has a grey store line, followed by one line for each royalty that applies to it. Column headings repeat at the top of every page.

1 The store line: from sales to royalty sales
Read the store line from left to right. The blue signs above the headings show how each figure leads to the next:
Gross sales − Discounts + Delivery charges = Turnover (incl VAT)
− VAT − Non-royalty sales − Sales channel commissions* = Royalty sales (excl VAT)
* Only shown, and only deducted, when your brand is set to deduct sales channel commissions from royalty sales.
The three columns on the right are the store's total royalties: excluding VAT, the VAT, and the total payable including VAT (highlighted in green).
2 One line per royalty
Under the store line, each royalty is listed with its percentage, the royalty sales it was charged on, and its own amount excluding VAT, VAT and including VAT. Add these lines together and you get the store's totals on the store line, to the cent.
3 When a percentage changed during the period
If a royalty's percentage changed during the period (for example from 2% to 3% on the 16th), the royalty line says rate changed during the month and a small grey line appears for each rate, showing the dates it applied, the sales in those dates and the amount charged. Each rate is only charged on the sales made while it was in force. If the rate did not change, these grey lines do not appear.
Other things you may see
- No sales channel commissions column
- If your brand is not set to deduct sales channel commissions, the column (its heading, the − sign above it and every figure in it) is not shown at all. Nothing is deducted and royalties are charged on the full sales. The column's space is simply left blank.
- disabled, traded this period
- The store has since been disabled, but it traded during the period so it is still included.
- no sales this period
- The store had no sales in the period.
- No royalty applies (in red)
- The store is not linked to any royalty for this period, so nothing is charged. Check the royalty setup if this is unexpected.
- … from Wed 09 Sep to Wed 30 Sep 2026 only
- The royalty only started (or ended) part way through the period, so it is only charged on the sales made while it applied.
Brand total
The grey bar at the end adds up every store: all the sales figures and the brand's total royalties excluding VAT, VAT and including VAT. These royalty totals match the total line of the brand summary at the top.
Frequently asked questions
Why is each store measured over its own trading period?
Stores can set a close of trade time after midnight. Sales made after midnight but before the close of trade belong to the previous trading day, so each store's month (or week) starts and ends at its own close of trade time.
Does the sales channel commission match the Sales Channel Commissions report?
Yes. It is calculated in exactly the same way: each order's net sales (including VAT) multiplied by the channel's commission percentage. The commission figure itself excludes VAT. Run the Sales Channel Commissions report for the same store and dates and the total will match.
How is VAT on royalties worked out?
VAT is calculated on each royalty's total for the store, using your brand's VAT rate for the period. The store and brand totals add up these lines, so every total matches the lines above it to the cent.
A royalty changed at midnight. Which rate applies to a late-night sale?
Rate changes take effect at the store's local time. A sale made before the new rate's start time is charged at the old rate.
Why does a store's own Royalty report differ by a cent?
The brand report rounds each royalty's total before adding VAT; the store report works per rate line. On rare occasions this can make a one cent difference in the VAT.
