Report options
Select your start date / end date
The first and last trading day to include. Both default to today. A trading day runs from your store's close of trade time to close of trade the next day, so a delivery rung up at 00:30 belongs to the previous trading day if your store closes trade at 02:00.
Change them to look at a week, a month or any other period. Choose the same date in both boxes to see one trading day.
The report at a glance
The date line shows the exact window the report covers, in your store's local time. If your store closes trade after midnight (for example at 02:00) the line reads From Mon 12 Oct 2026 02:00 until Mon 19 Oct 2026 02:00 *, and the * points to a note at the bottom of every page: sales between midnight and your close of trade time count in the previous day's sales.
- Suburbs: one block per suburb with every delivery customer and address, then the suburb's subtotal, delivery charges, turnover and average distance.
- Number of deliveries by suburb: a pie chart of the suburbs with the most delivery orders.
- Heatmap of customer orders: a map showing where your delivery customers are.
- Privacy and Data Protection Warning: how to look after the personal information in the report.
Each page footer shows when the report was run and by whom, your Store ID, the report version and the page number. If there are no delivery orders for the dates you chose, the report shows Can't find any information for the selected date range instead.
Suburbs
Every delivery order that is linked to a customer is counted under the suburb of its delivery address. Each line is one customer at one address. A customer who had food delivered to two different addresses has two lines, possibly in two different suburbs.

| Customer - phone | Address | Km to cust | Number of orders | Net sales |

1 The suburb
Suburbs are listed alphabetically. The suburb comes from the delivery address. If the address has no suburb, the city is used instead, and if it has neither the order is listed under Unknown. Suburbs are grouped exactly as they were typed, so Sea Point and Seapoint appear as two separate suburbs.
2 Customer - phone
The customer's name and phone number. Click it to open the Individual Customer report for that customer. Within a suburb, the customers with the most orders are listed first.
3 Address
The type of address (for example Home or Work) followed by the address as it was captured: building, street number and street, suburb, city, province and postal code, leaving out any parts that are blank. Orders with no delivery address show Address: No address captured and are listed under Unknown.
4 Km to cust
The straight-line distance in kilometres from your store to the customer's address, worked out from the map co-ordinates of both. It is "as the crow flies", so the distance your driver travels by road is longer. It is blank when the address, or your store, has no map co-ordinates.
5 Subtotal: number of orders and net sales
Number of orders is how many delivery orders the customer placed to that address in the period. Net sales is what the orders were charged (after discounts, including VAT), less the delivery charges. This report always shows sales including VAT. The subtotal line adds up all the customers in the suburb.
6 Add delivery charges
The delivery charges added to the suburb's orders.
7 Turnover
Net sales plus delivery charges: the full value of the suburb's delivery orders. In the example: 1 952.40 + 250.00 = 2 202.40.
8 Average great-circle distance to the customer
The average of the Km to cust figures in the suburb (great-circle distance is the shortest distance over the earth's surface, the same straight-line distance). Each customer address counts once, however many orders it had, and addresses with a blank distance are left out. In the example: (2.4 + 3.2) ÷ 2 = 2.8 km. If no address in the suburb has a distance, it shows Unknown.
Number of deliveries by suburb
After the last suburb, a pie chart shows how your delivery orders are spread across suburbs. Each slice is a suburb, sized by its number of orders, with the number of orders on the slice. The 10 suburbs with the most orders get their own slice; the rest are added together in one slice.
| Slice | Number of orders |
|---|---|
| Riverside | 42 |
| Hillcrest | 27 |
| Midtown | 10 |
| Unknown | 4 |
| All deliveries | 83 |
Use it to see at a glance where most of your deliveries go, and which suburbs to target with flyers or delivery specials.
Heatmap of customer orders
A map of the area around your store with a point for every delivery customer address in the report. Where many customers are close together, the points cluster, so you can see at a glance which streets and neighbourhoods you deliver to most, and where you don't deliver yet.
- Each customer address is one point, however many orders it had. A customer who had deliveries to two addresses has two points.
- Addresses that were never placed on the map (they show a blank Km to cust) are left off the map, but their orders are still counted in the suburb blocks.
- The map is drawn from an online map service, so it needs an internet connection when the report runs.
Privacy warning
The last part of the report is a Privacy and Data Protection Warning. Because the report lists customers' names, phone numbers and addresses, it reminds you to:
- Limit Access and Permissions: only let people who need the report run, see or share it.
- Secure Disposal of Printed Copies: shred printed copies when you no longer need them.
- Secure Disposal of Digital Copies: permanently delete saved or exported copies when you no longer need them.
It refers to South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your own country's privacy laws may also apply.

Frequently asked questions
Why are some of my delivery orders missing?
The report only counts delivery orders that were linked to a customer when they were rung up, and that were not voided. Delivery orders with no customer attached can't be placed in a suburb, so they are left out. Collection, counter and table orders are never included.
Why is a customer listed more than once?
Each line is one customer at one address. If the customer had orders delivered to two different addresses (for example home and work), they appear on two lines, possibly under two different suburbs.
Why does the same suburb appear twice with slightly different names?
Suburbs are grouped exactly as they were typed on the customer's address, so Sea Point, Seapoint and Sea Point. are three different suburbs to the report. Correct the address on the customer's record so future orders group together.
What is the Unknown suburb?
Orders whose delivery address has no suburb and no city, or orders that had no delivery address at all. Capturing the suburb when you add a customer's address moves future orders into the right suburb.
Why is Km to cust blank, or the average distance Unknown?
The distance is worked out from the map co-ordinates of your store and of the customer's address. If the address was never placed on the map, or your store's location isn't set, there is no distance. Blank distances are left out of the suburb's average; if none of the addresses has a distance, the average shows Unknown.
Why is the distance shorter than my driver's trip?
It is the straight-line distance from your store to the address. Roads are never perfectly straight, so the distance driven is always longer.
How do Net sales, Add delivery charges and Turnover fit together?
Net sales is what the delivery orders were charged, less the delivery charges. Turnover is net sales plus delivery charges: the full value of the orders. So Net sales + Add delivery charges = Turnover.
Why don't my figures match the Daily Cashup or Sales Summary report?
This report only shows delivery orders that have a customer attached, and splits out the delivery charges. Other reports include every order type, and orders without a customer. Make sure you compare the same dates, the same order type and the same figure (net sales or turnover).
Why is a customer missing from the heatmap?
Only addresses with a map location are plotted. If a customer's address was captured without placing it on the map, it has no location: their orders still appear in the suburb blocks, with a blank Km to cust. Fix the address on the customer's record so future reports show it.
Why does a delivery from just after midnight show on the previous day?
The dates are trading days. If your store closes trade after midnight, orders between midnight and your close of trade time belong to the previous trading day. The date line at the top shows the exact window used.
