Operational - Offline Tills

See which of your tills were offline while your store was open. The report lists every spell longer than 5 minutes when a till was switched off, or was on but had no internet connection and was trading in offline mode, and how many invoices were processed in that time. It is for store owners and managers.

Offline tills report
Wed 28 Oct 2026 until and including Fri 30 Oct 2026

The dates are calendar days in your store's local time, from the start date to the end date inclusive. For each day the report looks at the time between your opening time and closing time for that weekday.

  1. Till heading: one heading per till, in till number order.
  2. Offline lines: one line for each spell when that till was offline.
  3. Footer: your store, the report version, the page number, who ran the report and when, and a note about how offline time is measured.

The offline list

Each till has a heading such as POS # 1 - Front counter (Till): the till number, its name and, in brackets, the type of device. Under it is one line for every spell when the till was offline during your opening times. Lines are in date and time order.

1 Opening time and Closing time

The opening and closing time of your store for that day. Only the time between them is checked. If your store closes after midnight, the closing time shows the next day.

2 Offline time

When the till was last seen online before it went quiet. If the till never came on at all that day, this says Not turned on. If the till came on late, it shows your opening time, and Minutes offline counts from there to when it came online.

3 Minutes offline

How long the till was offline in this spell. Spells of 5 minutes or less are ignored.

4 Back online time

When the till came online again. Three special values can appear instead of a time: Off all day (the till was offline for the whole of your opening hours), Currently offline (it is still offline now) and, when a till went quiet and did not come back before closing, your closing time.

5 Invoices processed while offline

The number of invoices created on that till during the offline spell. A number above zero means the till carried on trading in offline mode. A dash means no invoices were created. Unknown is shown while the till is still offline, because its invoices only arrive once it is back online. Hover over the number to see the invoice numbers.

-
No invoices were created on the till during the spell.
Currently offline
The till has been quiet for more than 5 minutes and your store is still open.
Not turned on
The till did not come online at all during your opening hours that day.
Off all day
Shown with Not turned on: the offline spell runs from opening time to closing time.

Frequently asked questions

Was the till switched off or did it just lose its internet?

The report cannot tell the two apart: in both cases the till was not talking to the cloud. Use the invoices column. If invoices were processed during the spell, the till was on and trading in offline mode. If there is a dash, nobody sold anything on it, which usually means it was switched off or nobody was using it.

Why does a till say Not turned on and Off all day?

The till did not come online at any time during your opening hours that day. It might have been switched off, or the day might be one where the store did not use that till. The offline spell then runs from opening time to closing time.

Why does a till that was online a moment ago say Currently offline?

A till is counted as offline when it has not been seen for more than 5 minutes. A till that has just been restarted, or has just lost its internet, can show this for a short while. Run the report again a few minutes later.

Why is the invoice count Unknown?

While a till is still offline, any invoices it creates have not reached the cloud yet, so the report cannot count them. Run the report again after the till is back online to see the real number.

Why is a short drop in connection not listed?

Only spells longer than 5 minutes are shown, so brief drops and quick restarts do not clutter the report.

Why is a till or a day missing from the report?

Only enabled tills are listed, and only the time between your opening time and closing time is checked. A day with no opening times set, or a day that has not opened yet, has no lines. Devices that are not tills are not checked. Check your store's opening times if a whole day is missing.

Why does Back online time show my closing time?

The till went quiet and was not seen again before closing. It did not really come back online: the report shows the end of your trading day as the end of the spell.

Which time zone are the times in?

All times are your store's local time, the same time the till shows.
