# The Aura online portal user interface

The Aura Portal is the central hub for managing and monitoring your restaurant and POS system. This article provides a quick overview of the interface and its key features.

The NextGen Aura Online Portal UI has some top-level elements that will be consistent on any page that the user interacts with once they log in. The portal’s landing page appears as below:

## Logging In

When logging in, you may be asked to select the **brand or store** you want to work with.

| This only applies if you have access to more than one store or brand. If you only manage a single store, the portal will take you directly to its **dashboard**. |

## The Section Menu

On the **left-hand side**, you’ll find the **Section Menu**. This is used for navigating through the portal.

Clicking the Section menu button will open the **Select Section** screen, where you can navigate to areas such as **System Admin**, **Stock**, **Configuration**, **Reports** and more, depending on what your user role allows you to have access to.

## Store Selection

On the **right-hand side** of the page banner, you will see which **store** you are currently working on. If you have access to multiple stores, you can switch between them here. The data displayed in the portal will update automatically based on the **company, brand, or store** selected.

## The User Menu

The **User Menu** gives you additional menu options for your account as well as the portal itself.

The menu allows you to:

-   Change the **portal language**
-   Switch between **brand** or **store** context (based on the level of access your user role allows)
-   Open the Store selector to allow you to switch the store and/or brand you're working on.
-   **Sign out** of the current session

| We always recommend you sign out of the portal when you're done working on it for best security. |

## Help and Support

At the **bottom-right corner**, the **Help Icon** opens the help center. From here, you can:

-   Access **guided tours** on portal features
-   Read **portal notifications**
-   Contact the **support team**
