# Managing Stock Lists

The Stock Lists page is used to manage and organize stock items into different lists to help improve stock-taking efficiency.

Stock lists can be tailored to specific needs, for example you could create lists such as

-   **Controllables** - a list of high-risk products such as meat and cheese that require daily counts.
-   **Weekly lists (i.e "Sunday Stocktake")** - Items that are important but don’t need daily verification, such as other controllables or key stock items.
-   **All Stock** \- A full list of all of your stock items.

The **Stock Lists** page displays a table showing all existing stock lists. If no lists exist, one must be created before use.

## Creating a Stock List

To create a new stock list:

1.  Click **New List**

2.  Enter a **name** for the list (e.g., “Controllable”).

3.  Click **Manage Items** to view a table of all stock items.

## Adding Items to a List

Within **Manage Items**, you can select items to include in the list.

For example, for a “Controllables” list, include **Meats, Drinks, and Cheese**, while leaving items like **packaging** unselected.

Once selections are made, click **Add Items** to add them to the stock list.

Once a stock list is created, it will be available to be used for **stock takes**.
