# Logging Discarded Stock in the Aura Portal

The Discard page is used to record stock items that have been discarded due to accidents, expiration, or general wastage.

## Viewing Discarded Stock

The page displays a **table of discarded items** for the selected date range. You can:

-   Set a custom **date range** or use **quick ranges** such as **Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days**, or longer

## Logging a Discard

Example scenario: A carton of twelve eggs was dropped yesterday.

To log discarded stock:

1.  Click **Discard Stock** to open a **searchable list** of stock items.
2.  Select the items to discard and click **Next**.
3.  Configure the discard:
4.  **Date and Time** of discard
5.  **Prepped or Bulk Quantity** being discarded
6.  Optional **Notes**

| The distinction between Prepped and Bulk is important, especially if the item has a **wastage percentage** applied. |

Click **Discard Items** to finalize the entry.

The discarded stock will now appear in the **Discard list**, where it can also be **deleted** if needed.
